On 7 March 2021, the statement heard around the world, dropped like a sack of bricks, Meghan Markle and eventually Prince Harry sat down with Oprah Winfrey to speak out about what they endured as senior members of the British Royal Family, and the claim about concern over Archie’s skin colour, British Tabloids screamed from their front pages “So Who is The Royal Racist?” and “Meghan Accuses Palace of Racism” Harry later stated that it was unconscious bias.
In this episode, the British monarchy has, for centuries, been attached to the idea of white supremacy. Many of the past British Monarchs have endorsed, profited from, and even encouraged slavery.
